Awww even though Harima is so dedicated to Tenma, he does have two great girls.
I love Eri and Yakumo. Plus, Karasuma is growing on me to be a couple with
Tenma.
Most people here use programs like Adobe Photoshop or Paintshop. (hehe I'd be
surprised if anyone pulled off a wallpaper with paint ). The
reason people use programs like Photoshop is the fact you can layer images on
one another, and use paintbrushes to create some lovely effects.
I'm not a waller myself, but there should be some tutorials around if you are
really interested. Check the net and type something like 'how to make wallpapers
using 'x' program, or check some of the wallpapering groups here on MT - some
contain some lovely tutorials.
In the moderators defence: perhaps it took them that long before your work was
brought to their attention. A lot of art gets submitted on this site and the
people who run this site are normal people like you and me - it's not like they
sit here monitoring 24/7.
As for your doujinshi: it's not bad -
the overall concept is there, you just need to work on being more definite
behind your lines because as what was mentioned above, it tends to distract the
viewer. Pencil does allow for you to erase mistakes, but I don't mind with pen
because you can always try to work with what's there and sometimes you can
rescue it nicely (instead of rubbing out a million times and then getting fed up
when it doesn't work).
Looking briefly at some of your other work, you seem to get your influences from
manga - I always have problems with hair in that sense because I never have the
patience to draw in all the strands . Try
working by the motto 'Less is more' for now, and see how it goes.
I must admit, it's a little mind boggling: applying to work in a lab that is
researching the theory of evolution when you don't believe it yourself. How
could you think to accomplish anything if you didn't believe in it? Surely he
must have held some sort of belief in the notion: why else would he hold a
degree in it?
On the flip side: being fired just because you don't believe in something I
don't think is enough justification. It'd be different if he didn't believe in
it AND his work was bad and not completed. Does it matter if he doesn't believe
in it - as long as he is doing the work?
Though I suppose one would then just come back and argue how can you work on
something without believing in it? If you think it's not true then why put any
effort into it?
Perhaps his research then could have been used in a positive way: if he is
actively seeking out a way to disprove the theory of evolution - then in doing
so or lack there of finding any evidence - he would only be strengthening their
theories...
Then again, he wasn't applying for work in a 'disproving the theory of
evolution' lab.
Anyways, I'll leave my ramblings there
Interesting article cerealjoe
Generally it's all downhill by the time you reach 20:
-you're probably the tallest you'll ever get
-you're bone mass will be the most you'll ever have
etc.
You're quite tall already - you're due to have a growth spurt soon I'm sure
While he wasn't one of my top fav pokemon, I did like him well enough. I didn't
watch any of the new series to know much about his other forms, but I can say
I'm glad he never evolved - he just wouldn't have been the same.
If so - fans rejoice because this great series has been turned into an
anime!
It has currently started in Japan - so it may be a while before American
audiences get to view it - but I was curious - any fans around? Or has anyone
seen it?
I've seen a few pictures... and although the main character's hair color is
wrong - it doesn't look to bad.
So you are wanting to make an animated picture hey?
Okay you what you need to do is for each image that you want to be animated, you
need to make a separate layer (image file). The program that I use to make gifs
is called Giffy - I got it ages ago though, so you can probably find something
better if you look. Anyway, that program layers them on top of each other to
make it animated.
I don't use photoshop - so I'm not sure how that works - anyways so there is my
2 cents on it Good
luck
Actually I quite like the first background better but
mainly because it has clouds and a real sunset feel to it. I mean I like the use
of the Japanese sun but yeah maybe add clouds.
As for Kik and Inu aww how sweet Nice
vector... but I thinks maybe you should add a little more detail to them too, at
least some color tones to Inu's hair and his clothes are too dark a
red.
Anyways that is just my opinion keep
at it I'm sure it'll turn out great however you do it
Well it shouldn't really come as that big of a suprise, since you know this is a
community for anime and manga lovers
Having said that - my vote lies with anime - I mean come on, from the more
detailed and intricate stories lines and animation there really is no contest.
Sure anime can get a bit strange sometimes, but hey, it's a lot better than the
same repetitive style that gets tossed around here.
Now I like Disney - but sometimes it gets too 'everyone has a happy ending' mush
that is too much. Did you know that anime had some influence from disney?
Astroboy creator apparently love the eyes disney did, and then adapted it to his
own.
Like a lot of you have been saying - pratically all cartoons here are aimed at
kid - and the quality! Honestly, sometimes I think my 3 year old cousin could
draw better. About the only western cartoons I kind of enjoy is the Simpsons and
Futurama - otherwise it's just about anime for me.
I also agree with anifanatical - the same 30min eps that round up into nothing
and so you have a whole 'series' where practically nothing happens - there is
always a beginning, middle and end, sometimes it carries onto a sequel ep
otherwise there is never really this ongoing plot that gets you hooked on the
series and wants you to finish it.
Try saving it as a PNG file - apparently that offers compression but without
losing your color values - so in the end you end up with a better quality
image... oh but wait... is there a rule on MT that you are only allowed to
upload jpeg files?
At first glance I like the first, however when you take time to look at it - the
2nd works much better, with the whole holding his hand out to show off his name
seems to very much suit this character (I haven't actually seen the show, but
from his description ) Also,
after comparing the 1st and 2nd, the 1st looks unnaturally tilted, rather than
him just raising his hand up more.
Woo another nice wallie by you
Again it seems you've put in a lot of thought into it
For me I think konichiwa, and I did learn the colors - but I wouldn't have a
clue what they are now - so words I've actually retained would be konichiwa,
syonara, baka and arigato - all the essentials
When I fav a piece, I need to be able to connect with it... if I can see that
someone has tried really well and I like what they were trying to achieve, I'll
fav it.
Uniqueness is good too, as with quality, but I think most is the effort that I
think they put into it - how passionate they felt about it. Even though it may
not be that good compared to others, I still think they did a great job
Hehe I go for Aussies too, but Jaymac - in all fairness - that game against
Japan was pretty bad - I mean it was just damn lucky (and I guess pretty
Australian) that they got those 3 goals in the last 8 minutes.
hmm not sure else I shall support, maybe Croatia, cause they have to versus us
on the 23rd... or is it the 24th and I
like Japan too, actually I wanna see all of Group F progress um
Netherlands are looking pretty good, so I'll prolly go for them as well and
maybe a bit for England as well
Who are you supporting again Almina? I'm guessing England is one of them - I
missed the England vs T&T last night - cause I was feeling sick... too tired
to watch it, but I heard that England beat them two nil.
Wow, was the France-Swiss that bad? Well good thing I didn't watch it. I don't
know which game I was most interested in - the Jap:Aus match was pretty dull
until the last 8 minutes. Germany vs Poland was too bad to watch, nor the
Netherlands vs Serbia and Brazil vs Croatia.
Can't wait til the 23rd
group F decider it's gonna be great
No way, I mean I may be going for Australia, but you HAVE to look at this
realistically - did you see the match between Brazil and Croatia - Australia is
definitely going to have a tough time between BOTH of them. Which is great -
because it makes watching it a lot more interesting I
mean who really wants easy wins? Sure they put you at ease, but it's also about
the challenge!
This is what I needed a few weeks ago! We need more threads like this - as I am always looking for models
Thanks so much!
So much vectoring potential
Thanks for sharing MapleRose - you've acquired quite a lovely collection
Awww even though Harima is so dedicated to Tenma, he does have two great girls. I love Eri and Yakumo. Plus, Karasuma is growing on me to be a couple with Tenma.

Has anyone read Deltora Quest by Emily Rodda?
If so - fans rejoice because this great series has been turned into an anime!

Oo that's awesome! Haha although I'm a bit skeptical of Bleach being in English as well - it'll be interesting to see how it turns out
Ooo Trinity Blood - vampires - sounds great

Well you have to admit, it's not Italy's fault they won... wait that would be interpreted in another way, ah you know what I mean :P
I was hoping for Germany but oh wells.
Well it shouldn't really come as that big of a suprise, since you know this is a community for anime and manga lovers
